Peter Kruder Pink Floyd Mix

Kruder & Dorfmeister é uma banda austríaca de música eletrônica que surgiu em 1993, conhecida por seu trabalho com remixagens downtempo e dub de composições de pop, hip-hop e drum and bass. O duo também é conhecido na Europa por suas apresentações ao vivo.

Peter comenta que fez o trabalho ainda nos anos 90, e devido a sua paixão pelo "Pink Floyd", para a rádio de origem austríaca FM4 (Criada em 1995, é uma rádio focada no progressivo e na música eletrônica elaborada, que possui grande expressão na Áustria, conhecida por possuir um diálogo de alto nível em suas abordagens, têm muito de seu trabalho produzido em inglês, expandindo seu território nas principais praças do rock progressivo, como Itália, Alemanha, República Checa e Inglaterra).  Em 2005, a FM4 realizou primeiro festival de música fora da Áustria, em Munique.

Em abril deste ano a rádio fez um especial de Páscoa onde retornou o projeto de Kruder na emissora, recordando que foi ao ar pela primeira vez em 1998:

Liquid Radio (00-01) Ein Oster-Spezial aus den Tiefen des FM4-Archivs Seine Leidenschaft für psychedelische Breitwand-Sounds hat Peter Kruder bereits mit seinem Projekt Peace Orchestra sowie Marsmobil, bei deren Album er mitproduziert hat, unter Beweis gestellt.  In den Tiefen des FM4-Archivs hat sich weiteres Evidenzmaterial gefunden: eine ganze Stunde lang mixt er sich durch die recording history von Pink Floyd. Wenn das nicht der passende Soundtrack zu den Osterglocken ist.  Erstmals ausgestrahlt wurde diese Sendung am 22. Dezember 1998.

I love the idea of Pink Floyd hanging out in a BBC studio watching the Apollo 11 moon landing and jamming along to it. That's something I would have considered paying to see. If I had been alive and streaming video services had been possible at the time.

Okay, I was alive, but only an infant, not unlike the technology that would eventually give way to the web. And since no one seemed to have any idea how to make money off of that meeting of musicians, it's not too surprising that the recordings disappeared.

But now they are back, edited together with some footage from the moon, and the whole thing is very lovely indeed.
